The OES will be developing, in consultation with a variety of stakeholders, a new Early Years’ Inspection Framework. Early Years establishments can expect to be invited to be involved in this development, particularly the survey and focus groups. Some centres will be selected to conduct the pilot in mid/late-2022 with a full roll-out planned for 2023.
In the coming weeks and months, centres will receive communication regarding the development of the inspection framework. At times the Office of Education Standards may invite centres to participate in working groups, consultations, and discussions and to facilitate a visit by an international consultant to centres for the purpose of finding out more about the local context and current provision. The OES looks forward to collaborating with both government and private providers in this project, and we trust all providers will be open to accepting the invitations to work with us to help make this inspection framework one that will best serve the early childhood sector and the community as a whole to make the lives of those we serve better.
