Stafford Boase wins bid to inspect Cayman Islands schools and early years centres for the next two years.

03 Oct, 2021

Stafford Boase has for the second time won the bid to support the Office of Education Standards with the task of inspecting schools, early years, and post-16 provision in the Cayman Islands. The owner Eileen Barnes-Vachell has a track record of inspecting our schools and has a solid understanding of the context of education on the Cayman Islands. She will bring a team of up to 15 international school inspectors at a time who will work alongside the senior inspectors from the Office of Education Standards.

Educational institutions are mandated to be inspected every 4 four years in Law, although the current Minister for Education requires all schools and early years centers to be inspected every two years. At the time of writing, there are 34 schools (18 Private and 16 Government) and 21 early years centres although many schools have or plan to have reception classes.
