Thematic Visits

This type of inspection or visit may be required in response to ministerial directives to inform policy and practice across the Cayman Islands. It often will focus upon particular aspects of educational leadership, provision, or outcomes. For instance, during a pandemic, a specific remote learning review was commissioned by the Minister of Education. In 2022 the OES was asked to conduct visits to schools to specifically look at leadership, safety, and wellbeing during COVID-19 (Omicron).

Timing - As required.

Duration - One to two days, depending on the area of focus and the number of schools/centres involved.
